Deputy Probation Officer Austin Bello was recently diagnosed with a rare neuroendocrine tumor located in his abdomen. A biopsy is currently being debated due to the risk of stroke, and medical staff are trying to create a treatment plan. Probation Officer Bello is currently at home and not working due to how debilitating his symptoms are.
The Bello family is in need of help with copays, groceries, and potentially rent. Probation Officer Bello joined the San Diego County Probation Department and San Diego County Probation Officers Association in April 2024. He has a wife and a 16-month-old son.
