Congratulations to the 2023 SDCPOA Scholarship Recipients!

SDCPOA awarded $1,000 scholarships to two students attending college this coming Fall 2023.  The recipients were:

Riley Jensen, parent SDCPOA member Joshua Szemett. Riley will be attending Miramar College. Congratulations Riley!

Nathan Estrella, parent SDCPOA member Judith Estrella. Nathan will be attending San Diego State University. Congratulations Nathan!

Officer Espino and her family recently suffered the unexpected loss of her husband, Victor Pereyra, on April 14, 2023. They were high school sweethearts who created a beautiful life together. They have three children, Isela (16), Moises (13), and Isaias (8). One can only imagine the stresses and the financial burden a sudden death leaves a family amongst having to adjust and navigate a life without a husband and a father. SDCPOA Sponsors the 2022 Southern California Gang Conference (SCGC)

This year, the SDCPOA proudly sponsored 10 members, who represented 8 worksites, to attend the 2022 Southern California Gang Conference (SCGC). The SCGC is crucial as it provides some of the most dynamic training to attendees, to date. “Criminal street gangs have created a culture of violence within our communities. A group of experts have teamed up to provide training on Street Gang Culture and Criminal Enterprises.” – SCGC Website. It is important for our members to remain up-to-date and prepared for any instance they may encounter in order to keep themselves and our community safe!
